Troubleshooting

1. Troubleshooting of mechanical faults

In case of faults specified in Table 1, the machine must be shut down manually. These faults are caused by improper mechanical operation adjustment.

Table 1

Faults Reasons Measures
1. Scratch of the external surface along the direction. Clearance between the die and the beam is too small. Increase the clearance between the die and the beam.
2. Wrinkles at the inner fold. 1. The fold is not sufficiently folded in. 2. The shape of the die in the length direction is too long, which causes blocking. 1. Adjust the clearance between the fold and die in the direction. 2. Shorten the dimension of the die along the length direction.
3. There are folding score lines at one side or both sides of the bottom in the direction. 1. There is deviation between the cardboard center and the die center when the cardboard is in place. 2. The front and rear of the die and the beam is too tight 1. Adjust the cardboard to the center of the position stopper and paper feeding frame and die. 2. Adjust the clearance between the die and the beam.
4. There is one or two folding line at the inner bottom along the length direction. 1. The paper guiding slot is not in the center of the die. 2. The die is too small. Adjust the adjusting nut of the paper guiding slot. Change the die.
5. The box cannot come down smoothly or can’t come down. 1. The four box hooking blocks are not even. 1. Adjust the four box hooking blocks to make them in parallel.
6. The cardboard folded side fails to stick and comes off promptly after coming out. 1.The glue is deteriorated or dries too slow 2. Check if the knife plate is not firmly pressed. 1. Change the glue or the glue model. 2.Adjust the clearance between the rack, knife plate and beam 0.5mm

2. Automatic diagnosis of equipment fault

When the machine is not functioning properly, the HMI will display floating information including the cause and location of the problem. The problem can be eliminated by following the information.

If the screen shows the following information

(1) Rear upper 1 safety alarm!

Remedy: Check if anything at the rear upper space of the forming machine frame blocks the opposite photoelectric rays. Remove the object and then reset the alarm.
Rear upper 2 safety alarm and other safety alarms: the remedy is the same as above.

(2) Glue temperature not up to standard!

Remedy: Check if temperature of power supply, glue bucket, two glue pipes and two spray gun heads of the spraying machine meets the setting requirements. If not, wait for some time until the temperature reaches the set values before resetting the alarm.

(3) Paper feeding frequency conversion alarm!

Remedy: Check if the paper feeding guide roller is jammed with paper. If so, press the "EMERGENCY” button to eliminate the problem. Then release the button and press the "RESET” button to deactivate the alarm. (Please refer to the frequency conversion manual).

(4) Excessively low air pressure alarm!

Remedy: Check the air supply pressure, adjust the air valve pressure and check for leakage.

(5) Double-paper alarm!

Remedy: Check if there are two overlapping cardboards being fed in the paper guide slot; take the cardboard if so; otherwise, check if the double-paper detection switch contact is too low and adjust it accordingly.

(6) Paper feeding frequency conversion alarm!

Remedy: Check if the paper feeding cam and the oscillating bar are jammed and check if the pinion and rack have become substantially worn; change the mechanical parts in case of wear; check if the rear pinch roller of the rack is in proper working order and change or adjust it according; press the "RESET” button to deactivate the alarm and then press the "paper feeding testing” button. (Please refer to the frequency conversion manual).

(7) Forming frequency conversion warning!

Remedy: Check if two cardboards get stuck in the die. Remove the stuck cardboard and press the "RESET” button to deactivate the alarm before starting again. (Please refer to the frequency conversion manual).
Other mechanical and electrical faults shall be handled by trained and experienced mechanics and electricians.
